Thanks to all of you that made it to Ben’s birthday party yesterday. We all had a lot of fun. I’ll be sure to get the pics up ere as soon as I can this week. Until then, here are a couple of Ben playing on the front lawn.

The Summer of Ben

As summer comes to a close, we have a lot of catching up to do. Ben’s milestones are coming fast and furious now. He is clmbing steps now and can pull himself up on everything (and is learning to fall down!) This past weekend we had dinner over at the Place’s house and he met his new friend James and (possible) future girlfriend Ella Calkins. She was so cute though, she may be out of his league already. Plans were to also go to his first Spartan football game but the weather did not cooperate.
Mom and Dad are learning a lot as days go by too. Learning how to be completely selfless sometimes is not an easy thing to do. Especially when the times that you most need to are not the times that you always feel like it. Thank God we found a great daycare for Ben that we both love. It’s difficult being working parents and we have a place that we know likes having him there as much as we know he likes going.
We had a lot of great weekends but one of the best was spent at Papa’s over Labor Day Weekend. Thanks to Brian and Nikki Brumme for the use of their camera. I am inspired to upgrade my gear now. Best Buy here I come!
